Keeping your chimney clean is not just for the efficiency of your fire, it’s about your safety too. Without regular inspections and sweeping, you risk the build-up of soot and other deposits that block smoke leaving your chimney, meaning dangerous carbon monoxide and other combustible gasses cannot escape your chimney and inevitably leak back into your home.
A chimney stack needs to be kept in good repair outside too. Any brickwork can deteriorate over the years especially in a difficult to notice position. With expert internal CCTV examination, we can safely survey and record the integrity of your chimney so that you can see for yourself if work is required.

We are extremely proud that the majority of our business has been built on repeat work and recommendations.
It is a requirement that your chimney or flue is swept at least once a year. Whilst this is being done, we will check over your stove and advise you if it needs replacement door seals, glass, or fire bricks. Just like tyres, batteries or exhausts on your car, these are the most common parts of your stove that may need some attention or replacement from time to time.
Our checks include:
– Door seals
– Glass, for any cracks and a good seal
– Fire bricks, to check the condition
– Leaks from stove pipe connections
– A test of the carbon monoxide/smoke alarm
– A check of the inward air vent if one is required
